The job
As a Field Service Technician, you will be a part of the business Development Team, dedicated and responsible for delivering international products and support to our customers by providing market-oriented solutions. You will act as an ambassador for Sonneveld and help maintain the company’s reputation for commitment and service worldwide. That’s why we consider this role to be of great importance. In this position, your base will be the head office in Papendrecht, and you will be traveling abroad, about 20% of your time (Europe, Asia and USA).
Advise which product(s) will be the best for our customers.
Give technical/machinery advice to our customer.
Training about release agents and spray equipment to our customers, but also internal training for Sonneveld employees and sister companies.
Have contact with spray equipment’s suppliers and producers.
Buying and sourcing spare parts and send to customers.
Making visit reports in the CRM system.
Maintenance services on spray equipment and drive continuous improvement at the customer's plant.
Execute hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximize system performance.
Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on-site and remotely.
Liaison with customers to establish and maintain a continuous positive relationship and follow up with customers' concerns and problems.
Execute all work in accordance with Sonneveld standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety.
You have
Proven experience in a similar position for at least 2 years, including mechanical and basic electrical experience. Ideally some understanding of automation systems.
Prior experience in the food industry, preferably in the baking industry.
Proactive and result-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently and together with a team.
Ability to translate the experiences from the field into concrete actions for other departments (R&D, Product development and sales).
A good level of spoken and written English, in addition Dutch could be an advantage.
Willingness to travel.
Driver's license.
